Synopsis

The book “Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Slavery and Digital Transformation in Latin America and the Caribbean” is more than a compendium of analysis; it is an X-ray of the irreversible changes that technology has begun to imprint on our reality. In the next ten years, the world will experience an unprecedented transformation, driven by artificial intelligence (AI). From the way we interact with the environment to the models of warfare and geopolitics, nothing will remain intact. This book invites us to a deep reflection on three central axes: the cultural and technological metamorphoses in Latin America, the ethical and philosophical implications of AI and the metaverse, and the crucial role of educational policies in the adoption and regulation of these technologies. In each chapter, the authors push us beyond the simple description of technological phenomena, challenging us to understand their repercussions in an interconnected and accelerating world.
